Justin Brownlee Jr. growing up like his father

Resident Barangay Ginebra San Miguel import and naturalized Gilas Pilipinas player Justin Brownlee has four children, and one of them is already showing the Justin Noypi genes.

11-year-old Justin Brownlee Jr. has been spending time with his father, and of course, some of those times are spent on the basketball court.

In an Instagram video posted by long-time sports journalist and sportscaster Quinito Henson on Thursday, the three-time Best Import of the Conference in the PBA was seen taking his son to a layup drill after the team practice of Ginebra.

And these are not the soft and chill layup lines you see in pre-game or in the streets, Brownlee Jr. was going through the drill in game speed and with mighty effort.

And just like his dad, the younger Brownlee hit all three of his shots, with the last one being a reverse layup that drew a little ‘ooh’ from those watching.

Henson also previously reported that the younger Brownlee dreams of making it to the NBA. But just in case he wants to also emulate the PBA and Gilas journey of his father, Filipino fans will take him with open arms.

And if he does get his Philippine citizenship and passport early enough, he would even have a chance to play for the Philippines as a local. Who says no?
