The hardworking import definitely still remembers his championship with TNT in 2011.
It’s no longer a surprise to see PBA imports falling in love with the country.
Over the years, PBA fans have grown accustomed to some returning imports in the league—one of which was Paul Harris, who had several tours of duty here in the country, including one with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel in 2016.
In an Instagram post, Harris recalled his time with the TNT Tropang Giga (then known as Talk 'N Text) and also gave a shoutout to a young Kiefer Ravena and a then-budding superstar in Jayson Castro.
“This young man I have my arm around @kieferravena15 was born to be a star he had the Smile, the charm, charisma, most importantly he had a WORK ETHIC,” Harris wrote in his post.
“And the other guy is my favorite PBA player the Blur @jaywill_17 going on 16 years of playing at a high level BLESSINGS one of the most humblest superstar that you will ever meet,” he added.
Harris made his debut in the PBA back in 2011, winning the Commissioner's Cup with TNT.
He later rejoined the team in 2011 and again in 2014. He returned again in 2016, but this time with Ginebra.
However, Harris' time with the crowd darlings was cut short to just a few games due to a wrist injury, leading to him being replaced by a certain Justin Brownlee. The rest, as the saying goes, is history.
Harris would again make his way to the league after signing with the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters for the 2021 PBA Governors Cup.
While his time in the PBA has had its ups and downs, it’s clear that Harris enjoyed every minute of his time in the Philippines.
