The NLEX Road Warriors make an import change just days before the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup begins.
NLEX is bringing in Mike Watkins as import for the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup.
The Road Warriors announced this development on Friday, November 22, weeks after initially tapping former Los Angeles Laker Ed Davis.
The former NBA player had to stay in the United States and be with his family for personal reasons.

Watkins played NCAA division I basketball with Pen State where he averaged 12.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, 1.0 steal, and 2.3 blocks.
The Big Ten All-Defensive team member in 2018 saw those number dip to 9.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks in his final year with the Nitanny Lions.
He has gone on a journey overseas after that, making stops in Colombia and Israel.
The 29-year-old last played for the Piratas de La Guaira in Venuezuela.
“With his experience and overall skill, we’re ready to elevate our game this conference!” NLEX said in its announcement on Facebook.
