Jordan Heading fired eight points in his first game with Converge in the opener of the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup.
Jordan Heading did not exactly make a smashing PBA debut for Converge as far as stats are concerned on Wednesday, Nov. 27.
Heading finished with eight points, four rebounds and six assists in almost 24 minutes on the court.
But FiberXers coach Franco Atienza was more than satisfied with how his prized acquisition fared in their 116-87 romp over Terrafirma in the Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup curtain-raiser.
“So far, so good. We believe he played really well. He’s slowly understanding what we want to do on both ends of the floor,” said Atienza after the game.

In fact, Atienza said Heading exceeded expectations.
“I think, for a first game, he exceeded our expectations. But the main thing is would be how we would be able to fuse him into what we want to do,” Atienza added.
For his part, Heading was grateful to finally play in the league.
“Yeah, it's good. It's good to get out there, just thankful to be playing basketball again. It's always trying to get out on the court and finally be in the PBA. I'm really thankful,” he said.
