Shaina Nitura is the owner of four UAAP records in just her first year in the league with the Adamson Lady Falcons.
The name Shaina Nitura is now synonymous to breaking records.
In just her rookie year with the Adamson Lady Falcons, Nitura is the owner of four all-time UAAP records with two games remaining in their schedule in Season 87.
Despite the Lady Falcons already out of contention for the Final Four, the wing spiker has continued to buck the odds and show out for her team time and time again.
As Nitura and Adamson enter the final two games of their season, let’s take a look at all she’s achieved so far.
UAAP Rookie Scoring Record - 33 points vs Ateneo
Nitura didn’t take long to introduce herself to the league as she made a name for herself in just their first game of the year, as she scored 33 points in a reverse sweep victory of the Ateneo Blue Eagles on February 16 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
In her first game in the seniors tournament, Nitura didn’t buckle after winning MVP in the girls’ tournament just the year before with Adamson.
Nitura overshadowed the record of former UE Lady Warrior turned UP Fighting Maroon Casiey Dongallo of 30 points, which she set just in Season 86.

UAAP Single-game Scoring Record - 38 points vs UP
It was evident even during the first round that Nitura’s first game heroics weren’t just a one-off thing. Her season-low scoring output is still at a decent 13 points, when Adamson faced the NU Lady Bulldogs in Round 1.
But Nitura's single most impressive scoring game came in a frustrating loss during their last match of the first round, when they suffered a five-set setback against the UP Fighting Maroons last March 17.
There, she uncorked a whopping 38 points--passing the previous scoring record shared by Nitura’s own UAAP idol Alyssa Valdez and Sisi Rondina.

Already making a case for one of the best to ever do it, Nitura was far from done when she held her head down in the stinging loss that inspired the Adamson Lady Falcons to make a resurgent run in Round 2.

Most 30-point games in a single season - Five games (and counting)
Adamson has been riding an unbelievable tear by Nitura as she notched her third straight 30-point game in UAAP Season 87 after the win over FEU. This is her fifth 30-point game overall.
Of note, previously, the league only had a player notch two 30-point games in a single season — and that was UST’s Angge Poyos in UAAP Season 86.
In terms of batting average, three of Nitura’s 30-point games have come as wins — with a couple coming against big-ticket teams like NU and FEU. With two games remaining and nothing to lose, it won’t be far-fetched to see Nitura extend her streak and her record, especially if it means more wins for Adamson.

UAAP single-season scoring record - 314 points (and counting)
Perhaps the most impressive for Nitura so far is her latest feat — breaking the UAAP single-season scoring record with a whopping two games to go.
Nitura continued to strengthen her case for one of the best to ever play in the UAAP, even as she’s still in her first season of playing after ending Valdez’ 10-year reign as the player with the most points in a single season.
After a 37-point showing against FEU, the Nitura surpassed Valdez’s total record of 312 points, which she set back in 2015 in UAAP Season 87.
