MJ Phillips will take home her first Finals MVP plum after proving to be a difference maker in the Petro Gazz Angels' championship run in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Fil-American middle blocker averaged 15.33 points in the championship series against Creamline, which went the full three games.
In the winner-take-all Game 3, Phillips had 15 points on 11 attacks on four blocks as the Angels secured their first-ever All-Filipino title.
“Our team has been through a lot and I’m just so happy that we came together when the time was right. We just showed a lot of resilience and grit and I’m just so proud of this team,” said Phillips.
