Kevin Alas finally saw action for the NLEX Road Warriors in PBA Season 49 Commissioner's Cup after missing the last three conferences due to an ACL injury.
It was a triumphant return for NLEX star Kevin Alas on Tuesday.
Alas played his first game in over a year in the Road Warriors’ 104-85 crushing of the Terrafirma Dyip in PBA Season 49 Commissioners’ Cup action.
The Gilas standout came off the bench and played limited minutes, but it was a welcome sign for NLEX who claimed back-to-back wins in the mid-season conference.
Alas checked into the game with 2:41 seconds left in the first quarter and immediately scored his first basket off a layup.
His return should boost NLEX's campaign, with Robert Bolick and import Mike Watkins showing good form so far. With the win, the Road Warriors are positioning themselves well in the early goings of the standings.

Bolick finished with a conference-high 32 points and five assists, while Watkins feasted with a massive outing of 26 points and 30 rebounds.
As for Alas, it can be remembered that the 33-year-old guard suffered a third ACL injury in November of last year against, coincidentally, Terrafirma.
Coming off an Asian Games gold medal for Gilas Pilipinas, that injury setback forced Alas to miss the rest of PBA Season 48 and the season-opening Governor’s Cup this year.
Before suffering the injury, he put up averages of 12.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
