After an extended layoff since surrendering the Governors' Cup crown to TNT, the Gin Kings wasted no time in starting their quest for redemption.
Ginebra halted the Road Warriors' three-game roll, shoving its foe to a 3-2 slate.
The Gin Kings will next face Phoenix two days later at the same venue.
