NSD kicks: Justin Brownlee surprised by custom shoes from Ginebra fan

Justin Brownlee loves the Philippines, and Filipinos love Justin Brownlee.

With Brownlee’s naturalization all but needing just the signature of President Bongbong Marcos, it’s safe to say that the Ginebra import will become a Filipino citizen. But even prior to his naturalization process, Ginebra fans have grown fond of JB, especially since he’s brought home numerous titles for the Gin Kings.

One fan, though, decided to take it to the next level by gifting Brownlee his own set of customized shoes.

In a Tiktok video, the import was seen receiving the pair of shoes and getting ecstatic over the details that came along with it. It came in Gin Kings colors, it had JB's photo, and it's even etched with the Ginebra battlecry of "Never Say Die."

Brownlee said he will wear them coming into the game, but not during the game itself, so as not to ruin the kicks.

At 34 years old, Brownlee continues to do it all for Ginebra. In the Commissioner’s Cup, he is averaging 28.1 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 7.2 assists. Should Ginebra advance to the finals, it will be no surprise if Brownlee wins another Best Import of the Conference award.
