'Kunwari nabigla tayo': Ginebra or Bay Area? Fans weigh in

In the battle for supremacy in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup, only two remain.

Enter the Dragons and the Gin Kings. 

Bay Area meets Brgy. Ginebra San Miguel in the best-of-seven finale that starts on Christmas Day at the Mall of Asia Arena. 

The Gin Kings capitalized on a Magnolia Hotshots side whose key players were not at full strength, while the Dragons dethroned the San Miguel Beermen in four scintillating matches. 

But it seems that fans saw this matchup between in-form teams coming from a mile away.

Fans also weighed in on the heavyweight clash that also pits PBA’s winningest coach Tim Cone and NBL Australia’s most successful tactician Brian Goorjian against each other. And we’re sure Cone appreciates this insight.

@manilacone @charddelrosario - Bay Area is like a bigger version of Magnolia, so we should come up with a defense that could guard the paint and at the same time could challenge outside shots.

BTW, Ginebra defeated Bay Area in the elimination round, 111-93.

Not a fan of both teams but I think Ginebra can give Bay Area a run for its money. They have size, length, speed, and athleticism that can match up well with the big dudes of the Dragons. This will definitely be a great series but I'm picking Ginebra boys to win it all.

One netizen, meanwhile, observed the depth of Ginebra, which we all know could pretty much make up the national team.

Ginebra is 10 man deep. BAD is only 5 to 7. With Nicholsom about 60 percent of that.

Another posited that if LA Tenorio continues to be at his best, BAD will definitely have their hands full in the finals.

If there is one team that can actually man handle Bay Area, it's definitely this Ginebra team. They dismantled them on elims without LA's production and now that he preserved his energy this playoffs they must make another adjustments not just for Jamie, Scottie and JB.
