The Cargo Movers dropped the opening set then won the next three.
“Amin ito.”
That was F2 Logistics Cargo Movers’ mindset coming into Game 2 of the PVL All-Filipino Conference battle for bronze on Tuesday.
They accomplished what they set out to do, hammering a 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 25-15 win over PLDT High Speed Hitters at the Mall of Asia Arena.
“Una pa lang, before pa mag-start, ang mindset namin, ‘Amin ‘to.’ Walang iba,” said team captain Kim Fajardo, who finished with 11 points built on four blocks and a pair of services aces.
It didn’t come easy, though.
The Cargo Movers had to weather the storm in the High Speed Hitters before nailing their best finish in the PVL.
But even after dropping the opening set, F2 refused to budge, going neck-and-neck against their rivals before finally getting their groove in the fourth frame.
This conquest was special, according to Fajardo, who also had 24 excellent sets.
“Sobrang special na makapasok kami sa final four tapos podium finish. First time namin ‘to na andito kami ngayon. Kaya mindset namin ito gusto naming makuha,” she said.
