Rondina has been jelling with the Flying Titans.
Make it two wins in a row for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans to start the PVL Invitational Conference.
The Flying Titans once again showed off their strength as they overpowered the Foton Tornadoes, 25-19, 25-19, 25-14, on Saturday at the FilOil EcoOil Center.
Sisi Rondina took home the Player of the Game honors once more—her second is as many games—as she finished with 19 points built on 15 attacks, 3 blocks, and 1 ace.
Despite being the newcomer on the team, Rondina is already taking on a big leadership role for the Flying Titans.
For the 5-foot-6 dynamo, leading the way is something she wants to continue, as she has been doing it even dating back to her days in España Boulevard.
“‘Yun talaga ‘yung kumbaga na-mold sa 'kin ng mga coaches ko sa UST [Growling Tigresses] and pinanindigan ko,” Rondina said during the postgame interview.
“Ayoko din iwala 'yun kasi dun din ako nakilala, so lagi ko gina-guide ['yung team] and kung puwede akong mag-guide, ga-guide ako, tutulong ako,” she added.
But for Rondina, it is also just about enjoying the game she loves—something that is evident whenever fans watch the Cherry Bomb play.
“Lagi kong kino-commit na kung ano 'yung mga trabaho na binibigay and kung saan ako puwedeng makatulong, and mag-ko-contribute ako sa team,” said Rondina.
The Flying Titans are now first in standings in Pool B with a 2-0 record as they prepare for a tough match against the loaded F2 Logistics Cargo Movers on Tuesday at the PhilSports Arena.
