Whenever a PVL conference is in full swing, Rachel Anne Daquis of the Cignal HD Spikers never fails to fulfill her role as one of the team’s star spikers. There’s no question about that. To this day, the 35-year-old remains as one of the league’s most formidable outside hitters.

Consequently, Cignal has always been considered as a contender in the league. When the PVL is on season-break, however, the FEU Tamaraws legend is keen on connecting with the community or doing other highly-productive activities.

On Sunday, with the PVL still a month away from kicking off its season-ending tourney, Rachel posted a few snippets of her, looking the part of a bona fide volleyball coach during one of the sessions of her RAD Athletics skills development program.

Working with young volleyball enthusiasts, Daquis looked fully engaged in imparting the knowledge she has acquired from more than a decade and a half of training and playing against elite competition.

As for the aspirants lucky enough to join RAD Athletics, they better not take the opportunity for granted. Learning from one of the best that Philippine women’s volleyball has to offer is special. Whatever they’ll pick up from Daquis’ mentorship is something that won’t come by as easily from somewhere else.

Daquis and the rest of the HD Spikers are coming off a bronze medal finish in the PVL Invitational Conference. As the PVL season-ending conference approaches, expect the 5-foot-10 stunner to switch her focus back to becoming a rock-solid stalwart for Cignal.
