Aby Maraño is definitely known as the Queen of Swag for her fierceness during games, starting way back in her UAAP days with the DLSU Lady Spikers and even with the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers. But the new Chery Tiggo Crossovers captain shows no such airs when it comes to her fans.

During the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference out-of-town game at the Sta. Rosa Sports Complex in Laguna, Tyang Aby patiently accommodated a long line of her fans for more than 30 minutes.

“Minsan lang naman nila kami mapupuntahan. Dumadayo, ine-effortan. So para sa akin, ayaw ko ‘yung may nakapila tapos aalisan ko. Nagi-guilty ako doon sa fact na maglalakad sila nang malayo tapos pagdating, hindi sila makakapag-papicture. Okay lang, laban lang," Tyang Aby said to One Sports.

Tyang has always been friendly with her fans. In 2018, Tyang gave her Philippine Super Liga (PSL) jersey to longtime fan, Jommer. The two met again during the PNVF Champions League 2024 at the PhilSports Arena. Jommer wore the same Chery Tiggo jersey as Maraño.

Her fans definitely motivated the Crossovers in their upset of defending champions, Creamline Cool Smashers.

The Chery Tiggo captain also shows exemplary leadership in their small team-building session.

“Sobrang fulfilling no’ng pakiramdam kasi the past few days [weren't] in favor of us. We were really struggling doon sa side ng chemistry and everything. So this whole week, in preparation for Creamline, winork-out talaga namin ‘yon. I organized a short team-building for us just to get to know each and everyone deeper. After no’n naging smooth and naging magaan lahat ng ensayo namin at relationship wise," shared Aby.

After their back-to-back losses against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans and the Farm Fresh Foxies, the Chery Tiggo Crossovers finally got on track with an upset win against the Creamline Cool Smashers.

“Anything is possible when you believe," was the wise motivation from the veteran in her Instagram post.
