The Chargers’ electric start in the 2024 PVL Reinforced Conference continues after taking down two-time defending champion Petro Gazz in five sets Sarturday at the PhilSports Arena, 23-25, 21-25, 25-23, 29-27, 16-14.
Showing incredible poise and resilience, Akari not only pulled off the reverse sweep but also won the last two sets in extended fashion, cementing themselves as a true contender.
The win now has the Chargers in a share of first place with Cignal in Group B with identical 3-0 marks.
