Kyle Negrito understood that the real game is about to begin.

Heading to the PVL Reinforced quarterfinals, Negrito and the Creamline Cool Smashers have a clear-cut mindset above all.

“Ito nga pong quarterfinals yung pinaka importanteng game na mangyayari so kailangan namin mag extra focus,” Negrito said in the aftermath of Creamline`s straight-set dismissal of the ZUS Coffee to enter the playoffs as the no. 3 seed.

Negrito tallied 13 excellent sets as the Cool Smashers bounced back quickly to end their group phase campaign with a winning momentum.

The six-time PVL champion echoed head coach Sherwin Meneses' call for trust despite missing key superstars with the import-laden tournament now heading to the playoffs.

Negrito also added that no matter who's on the floor for Creamline, the team is still capable of performing at the highest level with the likes of Lorie Bernardo, Rose Vargas, Rizza Mandapat playing extended minutes.

Matagal naman na kami magkakasama so walang problema," she said.

Meneses, on his part, express readiness as the Cool Smashers embark on their latest playoff run, whether with or without their key players.

Creamline`s playoff opponent is still undecided with either defending champion Petro Gazz Angels or the Capital1 Solar Spikers still fighting for the no.6 seed.
