The 2024 PVL season was nothing short of spectacular, with record-breaking performances that will certainly be remembered for years to come.
From jaw-dropping individual feats to historic team achievements, this season set new standards in Philippine volleyball.
Here’s a rundown of the six records set or broken during this electrifying season.
1. Marina Tushova’s 50-point scoring record
Capital1 Solar Spikers import Marina Tushova etched her name into PVL history with an unprecedented scoring achievement.
During the 2024 Reinforced Conference, Tushova shattered records by scoring 50 points in a single match against the Cignal HD Spikers. Her extraordinary performance included 47 attacks, two blocks, and one service ace.
The Russian import became the first player to reach this milestone in the PVL, showcasing her dominance on the court. Additionally, Tushova set a new record for the most spikes in a single game, delivering 47 spikes in the same match.
Despite their exit in the quarterfinals, the youthful Tushova made many PVL fans fall in love with her and the Solar Spikers.

2. Tots Carlos’ 38-point local scoring record
The local scoring record also saw a new high during this season.
The honor belonged to Creamline Cool Smashers superstar Tots Carlos, who set a single-game high for PVL locals earlier in the season.
During the 2024 All-Filipino Conference, Carlos scored 38 points built on 35 kills and three denials in a thrilling five-set victory over the Cignal HD Spikers.
Her performance not only led her team to victory, but also set a new benchmark for her fellow locals to strive for.
3. Bernadeth Pons bags both Reinforced Conference and Finals MVP
Bernadeth Pons joined an elite group by being named both Conference MVP and Finals MVP in the 2024 Reinforced Conference. She followed in Jaja Santiago's footsteps, who achieved this feat during the 2021 Open Conference.
Pons and Santiago are the only two players to pull off an MVP double since the PVL turned pro.
Coming off the bench in previous conferences, the former Far Eastern University standout showed why she’s called MVPons for a reason, bagging six tripled-double performances in the last two conferences.

4. Most 30-Point Games in One Conference
Imports Marina Tushova, Oluoma Okaro (Akari Chargers), and Elena Samoilenko (PLDT High Speed Hitters) have set a new record for the most 30-point games in a single conference.
All three players scored over 30 points in five different games during the 2024 Reinforced Conference, showcasing their exceptional scoring ability and consistency.
Though Tushova, Okaro, or Samoilenko were unable to bring home the PVL Best Foreign Player award during the Reinforced Conference, the three imports definitely raised the play in Philippine volleyball to another level.
5. MJ Perez sets PVL Finals scoring record
Despite another heartbreak for the Cignal HD Spikers, import MJ Perez delivered an unforgettable performance in the Finals of the Invitational Conference, setting a new single-game Finals record of 42 points.
Perez’s incredible feat was achieved with 37 attacks, two blocks, and three service aces along with 17 excellent receptions and 11 digs, as she almost single-handedly carried the HD Spikers to their first-ever PVL title.
PVL fans will be hoping to see the 36-year-old Venezuelan import back for another stint in the Philippines.

6. Creamline’s historic grand slam feat
To end the season, the Cool Smashers made history by becoming the first and only professional club team to achieve a grand slam by winning all conferences in a single season.
Despite not having the usual superstars in the roster, especially for the last two championships, Creamline's remarkable feat in the 2024 PVL season highlighted the franchise's dominance and consistency throughout the year.
