One Sports caught up with the newest member of the PBA’s Greatest Players and asked him about his faith in time for Holy Week.
During Bong Hawkins' PBA heydays, there was probably nothing more important for him than winning championships.
As part of the dynastic Alaska in the 90s, Hawkins helped the Milkmen win nine championships, including a triple crown in 1996, as a defensive workhorse and a glue guy.
But once he started raising a family, his priorities changed, like most people.

One Sports caught up with the newest member of the PBA’s 50 Greatest Players and asked him about his faith in time for the Holy Week.
One Sports: Are you a prayerful person?
Bong Hawkins: Ako? Oo.
OS: What are the three things that you thank the Lord for in your prayers?
Hawkins: Siyempre, thankful for all the blessings, for the very good life, for good health for my whole family.

OS: What are the three things that you ask God for in your prayers?
BH: 'Yon lang good health for my family.
OS: Are there any religious practices that you or your family observe during Lent?
Hawkins: Minsan, Visita Iglesia. Siyempre, going to Mass every Sunday.
OS: Do you have any specific prayer intention whenever you hear Mass?
Hawkins: Lahat naman. Good health para sa buong pamilya.
