PBA stars were out in their best fit in the recently-concluded PBA 50th Anniversary Gala Night. Check out some notable details that made menswear looks interesting and fascinating.
The recently-concluded PBA 50th Anniversary Gala Night recognized the league's 50 Greatest Players, which included 10 additions.
But aside from celebrating the PBA's 50 years of being the Philippines' premier basketball league, it's also worth noting how the league's stars showed up in their best fit on the red carpet. Turns out they can shine beyond the court and beyond their team jerseys.
Here were some noteworthy looks that made menswear interesting.
Black-on-black stays classic
Black-on-black-on-black always manages to be classy and suave in any formal event. The key? Playing with different shades and textures to keep things visually interesting. Just take a cue from Benjie Paras.
Wearing blue doesn't mean you have to feel blue
There were quite a few who chose to banner navy coats and jackets on the red carpet. Of course, the Magnolia Hotshots know how to wear blue best. But the newest addition to the 50 Greatest List, June Mar Fajardo, cuts a pretty impressive figure with his tailor-fit look.
Wrap it all up in a bowtie
In a sea of long ties and no ties, some chose to keep things fun and cheeky with a classy bowtie. Arwind Santos certainly had the most fun by using the strings as an interesting focus for his look.

Bit of flair, bit of color
Some stars chose to break the contrast in their looks with a pop of color and some interesting accent--whether it be from a belt buckle, a pocket square, statement shoes, shiny lapels, or a double-breasted coat.
Tied up
Speaking of flair and pops of colors, some players and personalities played with their looks with interesting ties. Father-and-son duo Danny and Shaun Ildefonso even made sure to match theirs.
Spotlight on them
Why choose dark-colored coats and jackets when you can go for light ones? White was certainly a trend for the night, but Kevin Alas stepped it up with a light blue-lavender suit with dark lapels.
Bling bling bling
But what else could be better accessories than some bling? Some players went for razzle and dazzle with a necklace for a bit of hip-hop and R&B flair. PBA's 50 Greatest Players member Scottie Thompson leveled it up with some statement glasses to boot.
