One Sports reached out to Magnolia Hotshots rising star Jerom Lastimosa to learn more about his faith in time for the Holy Week.
Jerom Lastimosa has been quite a rookie for Magnolia in the ongoing 49th season of the PBA.
In just his first year with the Hotshots, it has been clear that Lastimosa is the future of the proud franchise, along with the likes of Zavier Lucero.
As the league went into the Holy Week break, Lastimosa and his teammates were advised by head coach Chito Victolero to spend time with the Lord.
Their rest was even extended to Easter Sunday for this purpose.
One Sports caught up with rising star to learn more about the religious practices and traditions he observes during Holy Week.

One Sports: What are the three things that you thank God for in your daily prayers?
Jerom Lastimosa: First, lagi kong ipinagpapasalamat kay Lord 'yong magising tayo at nagkaroon ng panibagong araw. Ito 'yong No. 1 blessing na ibinigay ni Lord sa'tin. 'Yong pagkagising natin, another opportunity 'yong araw na 'to.
OS: What are the three things you ask God for in your daily prayers?
Lastimosa: Good health lagi. 'Yon lang ang lagi kong wini-wish: magkaroon ako ng good health, especially my family. Sa mga lakad ko rin na lagi Niya lang akong gabayan. Sa mga practices, no injuries.
OS: Do you observe any religious practices during the Holy Week?
Latimosa: First Holy Week ko dito sa team. Sinabi lang ni coach Chito kanina sa'min after the game, bigyan namin ng oras si Papa God this Holy Week. Dapat three days break lang kami pero ibinigay niya 'yong Sunday. Sabi niya, magbigay daw kami ng time kay Lord.

OS: Would you do a Visita Iglesia?
Lastimosa: Depende. Kasi uuwi ako sa partner ko doon sa Batangas. I don’t think magbi-Visita Iglesia sila. Kung ganoon, why not? Kasi talagang nagsisimba ako.
OS: If ever you did that, what would be your specific prayer intention?
Lastimosa: Maging successful 'yong career. 'Yon lang ang lagi kong hinihiling.
OS: Do you have any religious devotion?
Lastimosa: Lahat. Naniniwala talaga ako. Siyempre, Top 1 si Lord.
