Sisi Rondina was on target for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans in their four-set victory over the Capital1 Solar Spikers.
After a rather silent start to her 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference campaign, Sisi Rondina came back firing for Choco Mucho in the team’s four-set victory over Capital1, 25-20, 26-24, 26-28, 25-9, on Thursday, November 21 at the FilOil EcoOil Arena.
Rondina led the Flying Titans with 23 points on 17 attacks, four blocks, and two service aces to go along with 12 excellent digs.
“Tinibayan talaga namin kung saan kami mahina lalong lalo na kami sa receive. And siyempre tulong tulong and hinayaan namin si Mars [Alba] na mandohan kami and magset plays kami kanina,” Rondina said during the post-game press conference.
Despite winning the match, Choco Mucho trailed for most of the game but somehow managed to pull furious rallies to take the sets and the victory.
It was only in the fourth set that the Flying Titans found their groove and dominated the Solar Spikers.
Facing a tough challenge from the Solar Spikers, the former PVL MVP trusted in her teammates to squeeze out a hard-fought victory for their second win in the conference.
Aside from Rondina, Royse Tubino and Dindin Santiago-Manabat finished in double-digit scoring with 12 and 11 markers, respectively.
Thang Ponce had a solid outing as well for Choco Mucho with 30 excellent digs and 10 excellent receptions.
For Capital1, Leila Cruz scored 16 points, while Jorelle Singh and Heather Guino-o had 12 and 11 in the loss.
Choco Mucho will have a one week break as they prepare to face the Cignal HD Spikers on November 28 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.
