What if PVL athletes were pageant contestants?

They can serve aces and fierce faces. Can the Premier Volleyball League athletes also make it in a pageant stage?

Celeste Cortesi of the Philippines served elegance and a touch of Darna during the preliminary competition of Miss Universe 2022.

This just proves there's plenty of Filipina beauties wherever you look — even in the volleyball court. Case in point, Creamline's Michele Gumabao, who won as Binibining Pilipinas Globe 2018 and the second runner-up of Miss Universe Philippines 2020.

She's not the only one turning heads in the PVL. If you're looking for national costume candidates, PLDT's Mika Reyes shows she appreciates native wear.

But who needs costumes when you got a military uniform like Army's Jovelyn Gonzaga?

A huge draw of beauty pageants, especially Miss Universe, is the swimsuit competition. And right now, pageant contestants got nothing on PVL athletes. They got great diets all-year round like new F2 player Myla Pablo.

They got killer abs like the eternal Rachel Anne Daquis of Cignal.

Choco Mucho's Maddie Madayag also got toned legs to show off even while on rehab.
There's nothing better as revenge. Just ask F2's Aby Maraño.
But really, we might have to give this one to Kalei Mau. This girl is on FIRE. We're not worthy.
PVL athletes can deliver quiet elegance in the gown competition too. Akari's Michelle Cobb is all white eleganza in this event.
It's all vanilla floral fantasy for Creamline's Jema Galanza.
Her teammate Alyssa Valdez doesn't just do sweet, she can be a sultry siren too.
Mylene Paat has been hailed a Reinforced Conference MVP and she wows outside the court too in this number.
Mika Reyes might have outdone them all in this pink stunner.

Of course, the all the best Filipina contestants know how to answer tricky questions within 30 seconds. It's the make-or-break moment in any pageant. Here's what athletes have to say when asked about the heart of volleyball.

Valdez is a strong contender, but Chery's Buding Duremdes might have won that one.

The takeaway from all these stunning athletes? Exercise is really a must, but it takes confidence to make it all work.
