The La Salle Lady Spikers humiliated their rivals Ateneo Blue Eagles behind a one-sided 25-16, 25-20, 25-13 sweep in the UAAP Season 85 Women's Volleyball Tournament at the MOA Arena.
La Salle was in control in all three sets, with Jolina dela Cruz ending Ateneo's agony with a kill in the deciding set.
Super rookie Angel Canino once again led the Lady Spikers with 23 points coming off 21 kills, 1 block and 1 ace.
"Ang strength namin is 'yung preparation namin... and ginawa lang namin kung ano 'yung sinabi ni coach," Canino said after the game.
The statement win against their rivals pushes La Salle to the solo first spot with an immaculate 3-0 win-loss card.
