All the ladies in the place with style and grace once again showed up on Wednesday in the continuation of the women's basketball tournament in UAAP Season 86. They rocked grooves and made moves with all the other mamis, with some teams extending their winning streaks, one team getting blemished, and another team bouncing back.
It was great hardwood action all around like in the previous game days. As the late Notorious B.I.G. implored: Throw your hands in the air if you's a true player.
5. Lee Sario - De La Salle Lady Archers
The Lady Archers broke into the win column after beating the Adamson Soaring Falcons, 63-55. Sario was the unsung hero, as she came off the bench to top-score with 20 points, including four three-pointers. She stepped up big-time after just averaging 7.6 points in their three losses.
4. Junize Calago - Ateneo Blue Eagles
The ladies from Katipunan extended their winning streak to three games after trouncing the UE Lady Warriors, 72-62. Calago, who's making a return to the list, delivered another all-around outing with 13 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists. It has been a breakthrough season for her.
3. Angel Surada - NU Lady Bulldogs
The Lady Bulldogs handed the UST Growling Tigresses their first loss of the season, 76-64. It was a huge bounce-back W after they got beat by the UP Fighting Maroons. Among the team's bevy of contributors, Surada had the most balanced outing with 11 points, 11 boards, and four dimes.
2. Louna Ozar - UP Fighting Maroons
The Fighting Maroons are still unblemished in four games, as they escaped the FEU Tamaraws, 64-61. Ozar, who's also part of Gilas Pilipinas Women, showed up for the Diliman-based crew with 15 points, five boards, four assists, and two steals. Hard to beat UP when Ozar is cooking.
1. Kacey dela Rosa - Ateneo Blue Eagles
Yep, the finger said it. For the second straight time, dela Rosa is number one on the list after being dominant anew in Ateneo's win over UE. The reigning Rookie of the Year tallied Breanna Stewart-esque norms of 23 points, 18 rebounds, five steals, and five blocks. Do we hear "M-V-P!"?
