Angel Canino's playing status against the NU Lady Bulldogs remains up in the air as the DLSU Lady Spikers look to secure the top spot in the UAAP Season 86 women's volleyball tournament.
As the DLSU Green Spikers celebrated their crucial four-set victory against the NU Bulldogs, spotted in the large crowd inside the Mall of Asia Arena was reigning MVP Angel Canino, who has missed the Lady Spikers' last two games due to an injured arm.
While her status remains day-to-day according to assistant coach Noel Orcullo, Canino was seen without an arm sling and arm cast while cheering on the Green Spikers.
Canino first wore a sling after a reported arm injury prior to their match against the UP Fighting Maroons last April 4.

In their next match, the 5-foot-10 outside hitter removed her arm sling and was instead wearing just an arm cast, showing signs of improvement from her injury

The Lady Spikers, who currently sit atop the standings with a 9-1 record, are set to face the NU Lady Bulldogs later today, a showdown that will be crucial in deciding the top-2 seeds this season, positions that come with a twice-to-beat advantage in the Final Four.
So, the question now is will Canino make her return against NU? Fans will have to wait and see, but no cast and sling on the arm of Angel is definitely a good sign for the reigning MVP.
