The UE community received the ultimate gift for their foundation week: the Red Warriors delivered a jaw-dropping upset against the reigning champions, DLSU Green Archers, while the Lady Red Warriors finally broke their 40-game losing streak.
Happy Foundation Week, University of the East!
The UE basketball teams know how to throw a celebration for their university’s 78th anniversary.
With crucial free throw misses from Kevin Quiambao and clutch shots from Jonjon Abate, the UE Red Warriors thwarted the DLSU Green Archers' comeback attempt, handing them their first loss of the season and marking the biggest upset so far.
The UE Lady Red Warriors also shone on the women’s side. After five long years of struggle, the sun has finally risen in the East as they bask in the glory of a hard-earned victory in the UAAP.
Jearzy Ganade’s exceptional playmaking led the UE Lady Red Warriors to this historic triumph.
