The FEU Tamaraws once again gutted out a tough overtime victory, this time against the Adamson Soaring Falcons, 76-72, for their second win of UAAP Season 87 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Saturday night.

Jorick Bautista drilled the second-chance triple with 14.8 ticks left in regulation to tie the ball game at 58-all and send the game into the extra period, while also surviving a pivotal 11-0 run by Adamson that flipped the script on the erstwhile leading FEU.

Bautista also scored nine points in overtime to help the Tamaraws come out victorious despite back-to-back big threes from Monty Montebon to get the Soaring Falcons within two, 72-74, with 4.5 ticks remaining.

But FEU did their job on the charity stripe as Bautista calmly hit his free throws with 3.5 left in the game clock.

Bautista sizzled with 21 points, six rebounds, and two assists while Mo Konateh, who got the all-important tip to Bautista at the end of regulation, finished with a monster double-double of 13 points, and 26 rebounds.

He also had four blocks and two steals in a productive game on defense as well.

FEU thus improves to 2-6 while Adamson skids to 3-5 and are in the midst of a three-game losing streak.
