The Red Warriors' search for an elusive first win continues in a curtain-raiser clash with the Adamson Soaring Falcons in the UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball tournament, Saturday, March 22, 10:00 a.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City.

UE ended the first round 0-7, becoming the only team left without a victory this season. They are also riding a 14-game losing streak dating back to Season 86. 

Against Ateneo, the Red Warriors suffered yet another straight-set defeat in a game where their main setters Andre Bicar and Dave Poquita did not play.

Instead, natural hitter Steven Aligayon served as the main playmaker of the Recto-based squad and tallied 14 excellent sets.

Rookie Raquim Aceron submitted 14 points with 15 excellent receptions in a losing effort for UE. while Roy Piojo chipped in eight markers.
