Justin Brownlee was doubtful to play prior to Game 4 of the PBA Finals after dislocating his right thumb in Game 3 Wednesday, March 19.
There is no way Justin Brownlee will sit out the the crucial Game 4 of the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup Finals on Friday, March 21.
Brownlee started for Ginebra in Friday’s game to the delight of the Gin Kings fans at the Ynares Center in Antipolo.
Before the game, there were doubts the beloved import would not play after dislocating his right thumb in Game 3 on Wednesday, March 19.
The injury happened when he dove for a loose ball with still 6:24 left in the third period.
He eventually left PhilSports Arena and headed to the hospital for further treatment.
When he emerged from the dugout during warmups, the Ginebra supporters erupted in cheers knowing they have a great chance of beating the Tropang Giga.
As of this writing, TNT leads the best-of-seven series, 2-1.
