Philippine ace Alex Eala impresses anew against Iga Swiatek in their Madrid Open battle, but the World No. 2 showed why she is the clay court queen.
Alex Eala continued to impress, but defending champion Iga Swiatek made sure there was no upset this time.
Loser in their first-ever meeting in the quarterfinals of the Miami Open, Swiatek made sure to protect her turf with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-2, come-from-behind win over Eala in the second round of the Madrid Open at the Manolo Santana Stadium on Thursday, April 24.
Swiatek exacted revenge after she got swept by the Filipina rising star, 2-6, 5-7, in Miami nearly a month ago.
