Creamline could not get past Thailand’s Nakhon Ratchasima Qmin C VC as it surrendered a 15-25, 22-25, 16-25 decision in their quarterfinal duel to bow out of the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig Thursday, April 24.

After a slow start to the match, the Cool Smashers tried to put up a fight against the Thai champions in the second and third sets.

However, Nakhon Ratchasima simply had too much firepower behind Onuma Sittirak and import Anyse Marlee Smith, who combined for 25 points.

Creamline actually held on to hope in the second set, leading at 19-18 before falling short. It tried to turn the tide anew early in the third as it held a slim edge at 5-4.

But the Thais eventually seized the momentum anchored on a 6-1 run behind Smith and Sasipapron Janthawisut, giving the visiting squad a commanding 15-9 advantage.

From there, the Devil Cat cruised to their third straight victory in the tourney that allowed them to punch a ticket to the semifinals. There, they will tangle with Kazakhstan’s Zhetysu VC.

No Creamline player finished in double digits, with Anastasiya Kudryashova and Bernadeth Pons scoring nine and eight points, respectively in the loss.
