Kath Arado impressed many following her strong performances for the PLDT High Speed Hitters in the 2025 AVC Women's Champions League.
Kath Arado turned plenty of heads during the PLDT High Speed Hitters’ campaign in the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League.
Despite the High Speed Hitters’ quarterfinal exit against Zhetysu VC, 13-25, 22-25, 20-25, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Thursday, April 24, the 26-year-old libero impressed once more with 17 excellent digs.
This came after her 24 excellent digs performance against PLDT’s five-set defeat against Nakhon Ratchasima in pool play.
Looking back on their campaign, Arado had nothing but pride in how her team carried themselves against Asia’s elite.
“Sobrang proud ako sa pinakita ng team,” Arado said during the post-game press conference. “’Yung tutok talaga ng bawat isa, pati mga coaches na nagbibigay ng instruction point-by-point. Kinapos man, pero madami kaming natutunan.”

Amid her strong performances, many fans have reignited hopes of seeing Arado don the national team jersey once more.
The former UE standout, however, is not included in the PNVF’s 33-player wishlist for Alas Pilipinas.

Nonetheless, Arado, who was part of the 2021 Southeast Asian Games roster that finished fourth, isn't shutting that door just yet.
“Open naman ako, basta hindi masasagasaan ‘yung priority ko with my team,” she explained. “Hindi ko kino-close ‘yung door. Sabi ko nga, bihira lang talaga dumating ang ganitong opportunity. At hindi naman ako pabata, so grab lang nang grab.”
For now, it will be rest and recovery for Arado and the High Speed Hitters after their PVL and AVC campaign.
