Without a doubt, the FEU Tamaraws are certainly a cut above the rest so far this UAAP Season 87.

The no. 1 ranked-squad aim to extend their immaculate start to 9-0, locking horns with the winless UE Red Warriors in the second round Wednesday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

FEU opened round 2 with a big win over Final Four tormentor UST, sending a message that the team's flawless first round was no fluke.

The trio Mikko Espartero, Ariel Cacao, and Dryx Saavedra led a balanced Tamaraws attack to keep their spotless record intact.

Espartero delivered 18 points, while Saavedra accounted for 13 markers and Lirick Mendoza contributed eight.

But it was Cacao who earned the Player of the Game honors with 28 excellent sets, steering a well-oiled FEU machine that sent the UST reeling to a third-straight loss.

“Sa akin, same pa rin yung sinasabi ko katulad nung last round namin na huwag namin hintayin na matalo kami bago kami mag-grind pa. Kaya sinasabi ko sa kanila every training na ibigay natin yung 100 percent natin sa training kasi ‘yon yung magddikta ng laro namin sa actual game,” Cacao told reporters in the post-game press conference.
