NU seeks to formalize their entry to the Final Four as the Bulldogs lock horns with the also-ran UE Red Warriors in the UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball tournament, Wednesday, April 9, at the PhilSports Arena, Pasig City.

Serving time is at 9:00 a.m.

The four-time defending champions also look to maintain their fiery form as of late, aiming to extend their winning run to four games as the playoffs nears.

NU moved one step closer towards a Final Four spot after dispatching the Adamson Soaring Falcons in their last outing.

Buds Buddin racked up a team-high 16 points as the Bulldogs improved to 9-2, just trailing one game behind the playoff-bound and top-ranked FEU Tamaraws (10-1).

Head coach Dante Alinsunurin and his wards hold a two-game lead over joint-third UST Golden Spikers and De La Salle Green Spikers, who are both parading identical 7-4 records.

Leo Aringo and Leo Ordiales combined for 23 while middle blocker Obed Mukaba submitted nine points. Greg Ancheta tossed 21 excellent sets in another brilliant playmaking display.

Earlier, NU bucked a second-set stumble to maul UE in their round 1 encounter last March 1.
