Irah Jaboneta and Joan Monares will try to keep the UP Fighting Maroons’ Final Four hopes alive when they face off against the streaking DLSU Lady Spikers on Sunday, April 13, in UAAP Season 87 action at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Currently at 5-6, the Fighting Maroons are in must-win territory as they try to snap out of a costly loss to FEU in their previous outing.

Jaboneta and Monares are expected to shoulder the load once again for a UP squad desperate to end a long Final Four drought, one that dates back to Season 78.

But UP faces a tall order in La Salle, which sits comfortably at 8-3 and is firmly in the hunt for a twice-to-beat advantage.

After a breakout performance in their last game, Jill Santos will be one to watch as she looks to sustain her strong form for the Season 85 champions.

With one team clinging to its postseason dream and another gunning for a semis edge, sparks are sure to fly in this crucial Sunday matchup at the Big Dome.
