The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang M5 World Championship has officially begun this week and the excitement level for fans has been through the rough.

Why is this MLBB championship special? Well, for one, it’s being held in the Philippines.

Philippine teams have been reigning in the World Championship for three straight years with Bren, Blacklist International, and ECHO taking home the crown respectively.

This event will also be special for Filipinos because they will get to see other top MLBB stars in action live at the EVM Convention Center in Metro Manila starting December 2.

Come December 9, fans can then troop to the Rizal Memorial Coliseum for the knockout stage and the grand finals.

Speaking of MLBB stars, MLBB host Mara Aquino has already welcomed one star that fans are quite familiar with—and have even associated with the talented Filipina host.

On her Facebook page, Aquino posted a photo of her alongside Jang "Hoon" Seong-hun, a Korean player who is currently playing as a Mid Laner for TheOhioBrothers, during the M5 Gala.

The two have quite the history given their “kilig moments” during previous World Championships.

For those who don’t remember, in the M4 World Championship, Aquino was interviewing Hoon’s team back then called The Valley.

When it was her turn to speak with Hoon, Aquino was quite “touchy” with Hoon’s shoulders—prompting the Korean pro player to give a hilarious reaction to his teammate.

Hoon was then asked about this on his stream later on where he seemingly couldn’t hide his “kilig.”

All of this, of course, is all in good fun.

But do expect that Filipinos will likely joke around the two whenever there’s an interview.

Overall, this should be an exciting M5 World Championship—and one to watch out for!
