Seeing Justin Brownlee wear a non-Gilas Pilipinas jersey is sure gonna hit different.

The Philippines' naturalized player will be playing for his Indonesian club Pelita Jaya Basketball in the Basketball Champions League Asia Qualifiers starting this Wednesday in Mongolia.

BCL Asia is FIBA's top-tier club competition, and was formerly known as the FIBA Asia Champions Cup.

In Round 1 of the qualifiers, Pelita Jaya will be taking on the Hi-Tech Basketball Club of Thailand, the Ulaanbaatar Xac Broncos of Mongolia, and the Adroit Club of Singapore in Group B.

The top teams in Group A and Group B will advance to Round 2, while the second and third-ranked squads in each group will battle in a head-to-head game to qualify for the final two spots.

Round 1 is scheduled to be from April 3-7. The Group Phase is from April 3-6 with a rest day on April 5. Meanwhile, the Qualification to Round 2 is played on April 7.

All the games will be live on FIBA's Youtube Channel.

Brownlee is playing as a reinforcement for Pelita Jaya, while awaiting the start of the import-laden conference in the PBA. Meanwhile, Gilas Pilipinas is expected to convene in June to prepare for the Paris Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Latvia.
