Celebrate Christmas with your favorite PBA player, Magnolia veteran Mark Barroca, as you get to know his Yuletide traditions.
Mark Barroca is a family man.
Whatever he does, he makes sure he does it for or with his family. Count spending Christmas and completing the nine days of Misa de Gallo among those.
One Sports reached out to the Magnolia star and asked him about everything Christmas.
One Sports: Do you have a favorite Christmas song?
Mark Barroca: Ako? Jingle Bells.
OS: Can you sing a part of the song?
Mark: (Went on to sing before laughing)
OS: Do you have a favorite Christmas tradition?
Mark: Kakain lang sa Noche Buena. Lagi kami sa Christmas day naglalaro [in the PBA]. So, kain lang, tulog tapos laro na.
OS: Have you experienced caroling?
Mark: Oo dati sa probinsya. Kami sa probinsya ganoon lagi, nagka-caroling noong bata pa kami. So masaya.

OS: Have you already completed the nine days of Simbang gabi in the past?
Mark: Oo, nakumpleto ko na. Pamilya kami. 'Yung mommy ko, 'yung kapatid ko.
OS: What did you wish for after completing it?
Mark: Wala naman. Masaya lang. Healthy lang 'yung pamilya namin lahat. Kasi 'yun naman ang importante sa Pasko na kasama natin ang bawa't isa.
OS: Do you have a favorite Christmas dish?
Mark: Ako, dati gustung-gusto ko 'yung lechon at saka 'yung macaroni salad. 'Yan 'yung gustung-gusto kong kinakain lagi.
OS: Puto bumbong or bibingka?
Mark: Puto bumbong.
OS: Mariah Carey or Jose Mari Chan?
Mark: Mariah Carey
OS: What’s your Christmas wish?
Mark: Itong Christmas wish namin ngayon — kasi sobrang struggle kami (Magnolia Hotshots — siguro, manalo kami against Ginebra. Sobrang struggle ng team namin, so hopefully, manalo kami. At maging masaya lang ang pamilya ko.
