Saint Dwight seems set on leaving a lasting legacy in the Japanese pro league.
Dwight Ramos is one of the Philippines’ most popular basketball players today. His countless of fans are keen on following his moves both on and off the court.
On Tuesday, his supporters received major news as the Gilas Pilipinas stalwart announced that he has re-signed with Levanga Hokkaido in the Japan B.League.
The announcement was made across the versatile swingman’s social media pages.
“As the next season approaches, I'm excited to announce that l'm signing with @levangakousiki for the next year. Excited to get back with my guys,” Ramos posted.
There’s no doubt that many Filipino hoops fans are still hoping that Saint Dwight would one day play in the PBA. For now, that would have to take a backseat as the 24-year-old cager believes he still has unfinished business to attend to overseas. Nonetheless, majority of Ramos’ followers fully support his business decision.
On Instagram, Filipino volleyball star Kim Kianna Dy congratulated his boyfriend for another career milestone.
“Congrats saint bugs,” the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers opposite hitter wrote.
Meanwhile, fellow B.League All-Star Thirdy Ravena simply posted three fire emojis to dap up his old Gilas teammate.
Over on Twitter, the love that Ramos got for running it back with Levanga was quite overwhelming.
@Ramchan0811 seemed to be relieved that Dwight decided to return.
According to @kanakona224, she has been waiting for Dwight’s decision for quite a while.
@yonakamura simply welcomed back the Filipino hooper.
For sure, Ramos made many Levanga loyalists happy with his impending rerun. A couple of them are @chebigblue and @hakk_aaa.
Despite hurting his ankle, Ramos averaged 9.5 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in Japan last season. Should he be fully healthy in his next campaign for the Hokkaido club, those numbers are likely to go up. Of course, his loyal fans will wait patiently until it happens.
