She ranked 219th at the end of 2022.
When Alex Eala won the junior’s US Open title, big things were expected of her as she prepared to make the leap to the next level. Slowly but surely, she’s been fulfilling that promise. Earlier this month, Eala won her fourth International Tennis Federation title (ITF) in Roehampton, London. A week later, she found herself playing in another finals, at the W25 Aldershot.
On Monday, the Filipino tennis prodigy took to Instagram to share her latest achievement. With her recent success, she was able to reach the top 200 of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings.
