The popular actor has been linked to Filipino-French golfer Emilienne Vigier. Recently, netizens have been connecting the dots on their rumored relationship through their similar-looking posts on Instagram. Because nothing sparks the investigative journalism mastery of Filipinos like juicy gossip.
The 25-year-old Vigier, who's backstopped by Taylormade, a sports equipment company based in California, regularly posts her swings on the green. But on Saturday, she posted on Instagram Story a picture of her and Garcia. Does that count as a par?
We're not gonna say that Vigier looks like Julia Barretto in the photo. You did not hear that from us.
Based on reports, Vigier, who's also an ambassador of Adidas Golf Philippines, has already posted a snap of her and Garcia working out in a gym, fueling speculations that they're dating. That, however, isn't as telling as her latest picture—the first time she's shown her and Garcia together.
Vigier is still trying to make her mark in golf, and she could follow in the footsteps of successful Filipina golfers like Yuka Saso, Bianca Pagdanganan, Jennifer Rosales, and Dottie Ardina. Maybe we could even see her represent the Philippines in the Asian Games or the Olympics.
But for now, she's happy living her young life, posting pictures of her golf practices, workouts, and travels. And *cough* boyfriend *cough*.
In a report by the Philippine Star last month, Garcia acknowledged his relationship with Vigier but didn't clarify their status.
"Hindi ko siya dini-deny. It's just that, ako and her decided not to share it to everyone. Kasi 'yung relationship na 'yan ay kami lang naman 'yung parte dun," said Garcia, as quoted by the report.
