As the PVL takes a festive break for the holidays, Alyssa Valdez, Savi Davison, Mars Alba, Pauline Gaston, and Julia Coronel share their heartwarming Christmas plans.
It’s officially the holiday season, and as we all know, the PVL All-Filipino Conference is taking its festive break. They’ll be back in action on January 18, 2025, with an exciting triple-header.
For the meantime, PVL stars are sharing their holiday plans and how they’re making the most of their extended break.
Creamline’s Alyssa Valdez: So cool, SoKor with the Cool Smashers
Alyssa Valdez and the undefeated Cool Smashers are taking their well-deserved break with a trip to South Korea. With a perfect 4-0 record, they definitely deserve to relax and enjoy.
“I’ll be spending it with my family, but before, during our Christmas break, as a team, we’re gonna go to South Korea,” she shared, full of excitement.

PLDT’s Savi Davison: Siargao Christmas with Loved Ones
Christmas is the perfect time to be with family, and PLDT’s Savi Davison is making it count with a trip to Siargao.
“I’m planning on spending my Christmas break with my loved ones in Siargao. We decided to stay here this year so we’ll be doing that,” she said.
Galeries Towers’ Julia Coronel: A Holiday Reconnection with Friends
Setter Julia Coronel of the Highrisers is taking full advantage of the holiday break to spend quality time with loved ones and friends, something she doesn’t often get to do with her busy schedule.
“For this Christmas break, I’m really going to take the time to spend more time with my family, my loved ones, and meet my friends that I haven’t been seeing often. If given the time to rest, we’ll take advantage of that because next year the games continue until April/May. So I’ll really take advantage of every opportunity I can get to spend time with my loved ones and rest,” she said.
Chery Tiggo’s Pauline Gaston: Family Reunions this Christmas
A typical Filipina, Chery Tiggo’s Pauline Gaston is spending the holidays with her family.
“For Christmas, I really plan to spend time with my family because a lot of them are coming home from abroad,” she said.
She’ll also use this time to stay fit and ready for the tough games ahead in 2025.
“I am also going to use that time to relax and prepare for the next league in 2025 because we have training,” she added.
Choco Mucho’s Mars Alba: No Rest for the Flying Titans
Mars Alba and the Choco Mucho Flying Titans are using the holiday break to train and stay sharp for the upcoming 2025 games.
“Walang pahinga,” she said, jokingly.
“Training pa rin para hindi mawala pagbalik ng PVL sa January,” she added.
Whatever their holiday plans may be, these athletes continue to inspire with their dedication, passion, and commitment to their craft.
