A great bonding moment for the Pinoy hoopers in Japan.
The 2024 B.League All-Star weekend in Okinawa has been a welcome break for the Filipino Asian Quota players strutting their stuff in Japan, giving them a chance to let loose amid the grueling 60-game season overseas.
Before Saturday's Asia Rising Star Game, which the Filipino-backed Asia All-Stars eventually won, members of the team joined the Rage Monkey Challenge for some light-hearted social media shenanigans.
Team captain Dwight Ramos, RJ Abarrientos, Matthew Wright, Roosevelt Adams, Carl Tamayo, Greg Slaughter, and brothers Kiefer and Thirdy Ravena go all in on the fun.
What’s an All-Star Weekend without some dancing, right?
The Ravena brothers, along with RJ, made sure to show off *even more* moves before the game.
Kai Sotto also had some fun with fellow Gilas Pilipinas mainstay Carl Tamayo, making light of the usual "Ginulat!" quips that always get attached to him on social media.
“Hindi ako nagulat. Pag nakikita ko si Carl, nagugulat ako. Bukod dun, wala na,” Sotto joked.
Sotto likewise touched upon the many infamous memes about him shocking the world, which almost always go viral.
“Nasanay na rin ako. Lagi kong nakikita sa internet kung ano man gawin ko nakakagulat daw. Kaya ayun, Kai Sotto, ginulay ang monggo,” said Kai.
Kai was not quite done, as Sotto was also spotted On Thirdy’s Instagram story where he lightly smacked Tamayo on the back of his head, which prompted laughter all around.
The All-Star Games are always about the fun stuff, it sure is great to see our guys bond abroad ;)
