Chris McCullough delivered in the homestretch as Strong Group-Pilipinas trounced Ukraine, 82-74, to remain unscathed in the 43rd William Jones Cup at the Xinzhuang Gymnasium in Taiwan on Monday, July 15.

McCullough scored 14 points in the fourth period, including eight in the last two minutes as Strong Group grabbed its third win in as many outings in the tourney.

In all, the former San Miguel champion import in the PBA finished with 28 points, which he embellished with six rebounds, two assists, and a block.

Before C-Mac's late-game exploits, Kiefer Ravena also came up big in the payoff period, knocking down two triples, the last of which allowed the Philippine team to inch closer, 70-72, with still 2:35 remaining.

It was a McCullough show after that.

The former Brooklyn Net in the NBA then strung together eight straight points to give the team a 78-72 advantage they never relinquished.

Jordan Heading, who had 20 of his 28 points in the first two quarters, sealed the match with a split from the charity stripe.

Ravena had 10 points, while Ange Kouame and Tajuan Agee combined for 16.

Meanwhile, Anatolly Shundel paced the Eastern European team with 17 big points. He was the one keeping SGA at bay early in the first period but could do little in the end game to help his squad recover.
