The Stallions are looking to continue their white-hot run in the inaugural season of the SBA.
After taking care of business against the Negros Occidental Pillars, Taguig now has Its eyes set on keeping Quezon City down as the SBA Season 1 continues.
The current top seed will go head-to-head against the bottom-seeded squad to open the second half of the season this week.
The Stallions are looking to continue their white-hot run — while the Dragons attempt to turn their season around.
TAGUIG STALLIONS’ PERFECT START
Team Taguig is having a dominant start in the inaugural SBA season.
The Boys in Maroon secured their fourth series win last Oct. 21-25 — beating the Pillars, 18-5.
In that series, Negros Occidental got the first win in the Five-on-Five Match (King of the Hill)— taking the first five points of the series.
But the Stallions dominated the next four days, winning both Sharks Double Rumble matches (doubles), the one for all match (singles), and the second Five on Five match.
Team veteran Demosthenes Pulpul won 25 racks during the week with four break and runs, a golden break, and finishing with an 88 percent overall rating.
Taguig is sitting comfortably at the top spot of the standings with 46 points.
QUEZON CITY DRAGONS’ COLD START
Contrary to the team’s moniker, Quezon City is yet to breathe fire into its season.
The Dragons have lost all of their weekly matchups in the first half.
Their recent loss was the worst one so far — falling to the Manila MSW Mavericks back in Oct. 14-18.
The Mavericks gave the Dragons a beatdown — holding them to only single digit racks on three game days.
Now with only 25 points under their belt, the Dragons need to have an almost perfect run to keep their championship hopes alive.
You can catch SBA Season 1 live at the Sharks Arena & Sports Bar (234 Tomas Morato Avenue) – all games are also live on SBA’s Facebook page, Youtube channel, One Sports, One Sports Plus, and Pilipinas Live App.
