While he is happy with the Best Import award, Rondae Hollis-Jefferson is eyeing a bigger prize which is the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup championship trophy.
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson already wore his game face when he received the Best Import award minutes before Game 4 of the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup Finals on Sunday, Nov. 3.
Make no mistake about it, Hollis-Jefferson was happy to win the award for the second straight time.

But as cliche as it sounds, the former Brooklyn Net is not after individual accolades.
“Of course it’s an accomplishment. But at the end of the day, I reiterate and I’ll say it a million more times, I’m not worried about individual accolades,” said RHJ shortly after the 106-92 loss to Ginebra.
“I wanna win. It’s gonna help me, it’s gonna help my teammates, it’s gonna help people around us. So that’s where all my focus is.”

The Tropang Giga do need to win in order to arrest back-to-back losses against the Gin Kings. The series is tied at two games apiece.
That is why TNT coach Chot Reyes is leaving no stones unturned in looking for ways to turn things around.
“That’s the finals. That’s basketball, our sport. In a seven-game series of two very good teams, momentum can really shift both ways. Yea, they definitely have the momentum, and we have to find a way to stop it,” said Reyes.
Game 5 is set on Wednesday, Nov. 6 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
