In a fight that had way more fireworks in the build up, Jake Paul outpointed “Iron” Mike Tyson in their heavyweight showcase at the AT&T Stadium Sunday (PHL).

Paul, the social media star-turned-boxer took control in the third round, using jabs to severely limit the 58-year-old former heavyweight champion of the world.

The youthful 27-year-old officially took the win via unanimous decision, and Paul improved his professional boxing record to 11 wins against just one loss, with seven knockouts.

Tyson actually started somewhat strong, having Paul on the defensive end in the first two rounds. But after Jake landed a couple of jabs to rock Tyson in the third, he controlled the pace to the end of the eight two-minute rounds.

Before the end of the bout, Paul showed respect to Tyson, bowing in front of "The Baddest Man on the Planet." He reiterated the respect at the announcement of his victory.

"He's a legend, he's the greatest to ever do it. I look up to him, I'm inspired by him. It's an honor to just fight him," he said.

Tyson, at a age 58, stepped foot in the ring for a sanctioned fight for the first time since 2005. The loss dropped hims record to 50 wins, seven losses, and 44 knockouts. While Mike showed flashes of energy, the one haymaker ultimately did not come from the former world champion.
