Fresh faces and familiar talents will take part in the Philippine women's national football team's upcoming training camp in Manila.
Familiar faces headline the Philippine women's national football team’s pool as they ready for a nine-day training camp in Manila this month.
Among those included in the player pool posted by the Filipinas on their social media pages earlier today are Sarina Bolden, Sara Eggesvik, Quinley Quezada, Katrina Guillou, Hali Long, Angela Beard, and Olivia McDaniel.
New faces will also join the team such as Autumn Cayelli, Malia Cerdon, Kaela Hansen, Nya Harrison, Ivymae Perez, Mallie Ramirez, Emma Tovar, Jaime Turrentine, and Maysen Veronda.
The Filipinas, however, will be without highly-touted Aston Villa defender Maz Pacheco, who withdrew from the camp due to an injury. Maddie Ayson and Nina Mathelus will also sit out the training camp to recover from their respective injuries.
The training camp will conclude on February 25 with an intrasquad exhibition match at the newly-built Mall of Asia Football Field.
The Filipinas are preparing for several major competitions in 2025, including the Southeast Asian Games, the ASEAN Women’s Championship, and the Asian Cup Qualifiers.
Following their historic 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup debut, the team had a relatively quieter 2024.
Mixed results in the October international window led to the Filipinas slipping to No. 41 in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings.
