Four-time defending champion NU Bulldogs seek to tighten their grip on second place in the team standing as the Bulldogs clash with the struggling Adamson Soaring Falcons in the UAAP Season 87 men’s volleyball tournament, Wednesday, March 12 at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay.

Match time is at 9:00 a.m.

Coming off a four-set disposal against the UP Fighting Maroons, the Bulldogs (4-1) gun for a third straight win and aim to stay within striking distance of the league-leading FEU Tamaraws (6-0).

Buds Buddin fired a team-high 22 points in NU’s 12th straight victory over the Diliman-based squad dating back to Season 78 in 2016.

Leo Aringo and Leo Ordiales combined for 28 points to aid their third-year hitter in the game that saw the Bulldogs surrender the third set but ultimately regaining control to notch their fourth dub overall.

“Yung naging problema talaga namin nung third set is yung mga unforced errors namin and kung kailan kami nakakuha ng momentum, nawawala sa amin. Nung fourth set, minindset lang namin na meron dapat kami ginagawa na may kasigurudahan, hindi pwedeng magdoubt sa sarili,” NU head coach Dante Alinsunurin bared.

The Bulldogs will cap off their first round schedule in a finals rematch against the UST Golden Spikers on March 16, Sunday at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
