Now playing for Cote d'Ivoire, Maxine Esteban could not recover from a lethargic first period on the way to a table of 32 loss in Paris 2024.
Maxine Esteban crashed out of the Olympic Games Paris 2024 after bowing to Pauline Ranvier of host France, 7-15, in table 32 of the women’s individual foil on Sunday, July 28 (Philippine time).
Now playing for Cote d'Ivoire, Esteban could not recover from the 4-13 hole after the first period and her French counterpart simply blitzed her way to the victory at the Grand Palais.
Esteban, ranked no. 27 in the world, switched federations last year after what she claimed as “unfair and unjust” treatment from the Philippine Fencing Association.
